Our Undertows

The Healing Powers of Our Undercurrents

Lately, so much has been going on for me internally and externally. Five years have passed since my great love left his physical body. Interesting and funny how the time flies. The avalanche of grief stems its flow and memory blurs into a warm honey glow.

Memories of sound and silence. The rhythm of a heartbeat, feathered wings in flight. The subtle noise of falling leaves turning colors on an autumnal breeze, all these can comfort and delight.

He tugs me under while lifting me up–reminding me to breathe into the light and swim in the sounds of love.

I awoke this morning struck again about how long sound has been used for healing. There is an ancient ruin called the Gavrinis Tomb located in the Gulf of Morbihan, off the coast of Brittany, France. It was constructed about 3500 BC and representations of the Pi or Phi we have spoken of before are carved into walls, a mathematical depiction of knowledge and sound.

Sound, as a healer, is evidenced around the world. The Hyopeum on Malta contains a “speaking chamber” where anything spoken through a hole carved into a wall there echoes throughout the structure. Some scholars have speculated that sound was used as part of a ceremonial process to heal via chanting, drumming and musical tones.

Another mysterious site is off the coast of Japan. Submerged stone structures lying below the waters off Yonaguni, Jima may actually be the ruins of a Japanese Atlantis called Mu—an ancient city sunken by an earthquake about 2,000 years ago. I wonder what the waters could reveal to us if we could only tune into their song.

Whether one believes in ancient submerged cities and civilizations or not, there is a plethora of evidence and compelling research that sound has played a significant role in powerful healing beyond time–far more than we have ever imagined.

In this time of great energetic shifts and cultural challenges, remember the power of sound to transform, to heal, to bring us present into the moment.

What if we could turn the physical body into a Sound Healing chamber?

We can. We do. We must.

What may we uncover? What wonders may we discover? Perhaps nothing more than to enjoy some peace and bliss; there’s ‘no-thing’ to resist.

Let me be your guide. What may we uncover in these undercurrents of healing tides? Tune into the rhythm of your heartbeat. Inhale deeply, suspend the breath… and listen.

Wherever you journey. Wherever you are. Remember you are so beautiful and wise. Travel on waves of sound to take a peek inside on this magic carpet ride.

Please always remember how much I love you.

Be in Bliss.

Love, Pamela
