Remember Who You Are

Can you feel the excitement building wrapped like a delicious secret in the cocoon of shelter? The known and the unknown collide into oneness as we surf the waves of change. Kawabunga! What I know is this, “I AM” and “YOU ARE”. We breathe the same breath, made of the same stuff. One heart. One love. Even this social distancing does not us separate make.

As my precious 92-year-old mom, a survivor of the holocaust says, “this too shall pass.” As we enter into the season of Passover, a celebration of moving into freedom from slavery or Easter, a joyful celebration of Spring renewal bathed in the miracle of resurrection, or whatever core beliefs tether you to life on Earth, remember who you are.

Messages from around the world ring out, sing out that we are One. When the fear consumes you and it will. When the unknown startles you awake from a deep rest and it will. When you cannot leave your home, or the chaos of uncertainty throws you into overwhelm and it will. Go within. Be still for a moment. Inhale deeply. Connect to your heartbeat, your inner drum. Return to the oneness of who you are of who we are.

Should the internet go down and it might. Should all technology stop and it might. Suspend your breath. Pause. Go within. Listen with an open heart to the symphony of life, of love. Embrace the community of self as One family. When you need a little help from a friend, enjoy this gift of a brief sound journey that begins and ends in the beauty and resilience of you. I love you so much.

I invite you to explore your heart with “Returning” from my album Healing Tides.
